We host a variety of mixed-age (0-5) playgroups at our center and at off-site locations in Augusta, Altoona, Fall Creek, and Fairchild.
Parents and children explore fun activities, sing and dance, have a snack, learn about child development, and connect with other families at no cost to you!

Eau Claire Playgroup
We offer playgroups at the Oakwood Mall in 6-week blocks, September 1 through May 30, 9:30 – 10:45 am, with several weekday options to choose from. Since these playgroups are very popular, we announce ahead of time the date and time registration opens, and maintain a waitlist.

Eau Claire Summer Playgroup
Indoor playgroups at the Oakwood over the summer are held Thursdays 9:30 – 10:45 am, and individually rather than in blocks, so feel free to sign up as your schedule allows. Outdoor Playgroups are held Wednesdays 10 – 11:30 am at the Grover Heights Playgroup near the soccer fields. Outdoor playgroups are also offered individually.
Music Playgroup
Did you know rhythm is key to literacy, and the brain is strengthened by music and movement? Children love to beat the drum, clap, march, and sing in this 45-minute playgroup. Registration required.
Baby Playgroup
Baby Playgroups are held in the conference room at our center in the Oakwood Mall. Limited to 7 infants (<9 months) and their parent/caregiver(s) and offered in 5 or 6 week blocks. Bond with your baby, meet other parents, share the delights/challenges of raising your infant, and get support.
Last summer I happened to attend the outdoor playgroup FRC organized. The first time there, my 2-year old daughter came up to me, whispered “Mama, I shy” and asked for a hug. Couple weeks later, she ran off to the sandbox to play as soon as we arrived. The playgroups have helped her come out of her shell so much and built up her confidence around people. We’ve made some great friends who live minutes from us.

- Select the number and type of tickets

- Provide information for all attendees*
- Click “Checkout Now”
- Complete the “Purchaser info” fields
- Click “Get Tickets”
- You will be redirected to our “Order Completed” page and receive an email confirmation*
*All attendees may enter the same email address. The email confirmation will be sent to "Purchaser” only.

Where to park:
Park between the former Sears building and the backside of Hobby Lobby.
Mall entrance:
Please enter through Service Door 21 starting at 9:00 am.
All other mall doors remain locked until 10:00 am.
